Classic Vs Online Bingo
A good game of Bingo has been a staple of American history since the late 1920's when it was first introduced to the United States. Since that time, the rules of the game haven't changed a whole lot, but the method of playing definitely has! Today one doesn't have to go to a community center or church hall to join a game of Bingo, but they can play from the comfort of their very own home with other people around the world, no less! The basics of the game are the same, however the following are a few of the fundamental differences when it comes to playing Bingo online or classic in-person Bingo:
Classic Bingo-
• Bingo games were often (and still are!) used as a means of fundraising for churches and other charity organizations. These games usually have lower stakes or may include a progressive jackpot, which keep increasing with every session until the end where a large jackpot can be won.
• When you enter a bingo hall, you'll usually be given a brochure of particular games, rules, and payouts specific to that bingo hall and night. (Caution: different bingo halls may have different rules and variations of the game!)
• Many people enjoy going to Bingo halls to play the game simply for the fun that comes from playing with a group of people. The energy of the room, the tables filled with people, the call of BINGO from across the room, simply can't be replicated in an online setting.
Online Bingo-
• One of the major benefits of joining an internet bingo game is that you have the option of joining any game you want. This means that with a little research you can find a game with the lowest entry fee, the highest payout, the fewest players, bonuses, your favorite pattern, etc.; all factors which can play a huge role in how you walk away from the game.
• Because of the vast array of options available to you, be sure to do your research and find a reputable Bingo site that operates fairly and honestly and where your personal information will be protected. Make sure you familiarize yourself with that particular site's rules and regulations and that you feel comfortable there.
• Online bingo sites will usually have you download specific software to be used for playing the game. The software is usually free and won't take up too much room on your computer.
